Eagle Valley BaCC Winter 2: Toyonaga

As soon as Delphinia Deppiesse moved into this small, empty, unfurnished house just a small distance from her family, she called Christy.  Christy, for some unknown reason, decided she needed to sneak onto the property.

Perhaps she was hoping her proposal would be a surprise?

The two decided to get married right then and there.  Among other things, Delphinia was worried about a problem with the marriage license such as her mother had.

This would be the other thing.  Their house didn’t even have a toilet yet for Delphinia to throw up in.

Delphinia had been trying to save up all of her money to open Dance Fever, a dance school that would, hopefully, help her with her dream of becoming a ballerina.  However, no one would pay more than $3 to go in, and they didn’t stay long enough to give her any stars.  With her low motives because of the new baby, she decided to give it up for now.  She would go back after the baby was born and rethink her idea.

With no business, and no current jobs, the two decided to work on their skills.

Delphinia had brought two masterpieces that she had completed at her old house with her, so they were not completely broke, and she kept painting.

When they weren’t skilling, Delphinia and Christy kept their spirits up in other ways.

Delphinia had been trying to clean up their house before the birth of the baby when she suddenly went into labor.  Christy’s comments that adoption would be easier, did not help at the time.

They named their little boy Marcus, and at the moment, he looked just like his other mother.

Time passed very quickly, and it was soon time for Marcus’ first birthday.  Delphinia made sure to call her family and invite them over for the auspicious occasion.

The two youngest girls went home immediately, saying it was too late for them to be out, but the rest stayed as Delphinia brought Marcus to the cake.

He’s interesting looking.  I’m not sure about the hair, but I want to see how it (and the nose) looks as he transitions.

Iris took some time to play with her new nephew.

Then Delphinia took over to teach him to walk while…

The rest of the family was engaged in a cutthroat game of kicky bag.

Talin, especially, spent most of the time booing and yelling at the participants.

Soon, it was time for them all to go home.

And with Marcus asleep, there was really only one thing to do.  (Yes, a lullaby was heard, no I have no idea whose)

Nothing really happened this season, I know.  I have got to figure out what I’m doing with Dance Fever.  Any suggestions?

And I’m caught up again!  Yay!

Eagle Valley BaCC Winter 2: Beauregarde

Abe Beauregarde was feeling very good as he returned home from his new grocery.  His dream of owning the best grocery store in Eagle Valley, the start of his business empire was beginning to come true.  But an empire needed an empress as well as an heir or two.  Demi Louie understood him.

When he asked her to marry him,

she wasted no time in agreeing.  Demi had no money to her name, but she wanted to be a celebrity chef.  Abe knew there was no way the two of them could run a restaurant by themselves.  Neither of them could even cook!  But somehow he’d find a way.

Demi moved in and they got right to work on that heir.

And in no time at all, she was sure that he or she was on their way.  The only thing she hoped was that she wouldn’t be like Iris’ mother.  Three at once was far too many.

Demi convinced Abe to buy a flower station and wasted no time in making snapdragons.  Abe wanted some of those for his store.  Surely they’d make the customers more mellow.

She didn’t have time to make any for him before he headed off to work.  That day there seemed to be a ridiculous number of people that couldn’t find what they wanted.  It was a very small store, nothing was hidden from view, but at least they all appreciated the help.

Abe didn’t stay long at the store.  Unlike last week, he had something at home to worry about.

Demi gave herself a makeover and Abe assured her she was even lovelier now that he could see her face.

In no time at all, Demi was ready to give birth.

Little black haired blue eyed Donnatella was soon born. (Everybody else, when I made them in CAS I gave recessives to.  I don’t think I did with Abe, and I’m not sure why.)

The wedding party had taken so long to put together that Donnatella was a Louie, but it was finally time. (Actually, I decided every family name of which I didn’t already have a child by that name, would have at least one out of wedlock if possible.  So now Donnatella will eventually be able to start the Louie household.  Since I have way more girls than boys right now, 10-4 although you haven’t met one of them, so far it’s possible.)

Even with all that extra time and renting the chairs, still everybody stayed on the other side of the arch to watch the wedding.

But at least most of them came out of the house to watch.  The Hawking/Cameron family had been invited, but Dr. Carl answered the phone, so unsurprisingly they chose not to come.

Demi spent a lot of time talking to Talia DaVinci.  They were much alike, both loving art and having babies to talk about.  Talia was a bit put out at Demi, since Donnatella (or Donatelo), had been one of the names she wanted for her own children. (In other words, I forgot what lot I was on, and was thinking this was my artist lot when I named her.  I didn’t have a naming scheme for any but the first three households.)

Demi was a face smasher.

The party ended up being a roof raiser, and although Abe had only managed to get his grocery store up to level 6, it was considered a good season.

Eagle Valley BaCC Winter 2: DaVinci

Iris Willow was willing to come over and be my inspiration.

We tried out the hot tub.

And the bed.

But then!  Do you know what she did?!  She tried to stand there and give me tips!  I don’t kneed tips, thank you.  She was here for inspiration, not for critiques!

Suffice to say, she was not asked back.  Instead I met with Shelby.  Three bolts!  I knew this would be great inspiration.

But she didn’t want to be my inspiration!  Who doesn’t want to be my muse?!  To be immortalized for all time in my paintings?

I was so upset I just painted.

And painted.  Just weeks before I had been too hot, now I’m far too cold.  And it wasn’t even a masterpiece.

I’d had enough.  I didn’t want any more inspirations.  I just wanted Michelle, so I called her over.

I asked her to move in with me and she agreed.

She brought enough money that we could embellish the inside of the house.  It wasn’t the most tasteful, I do admit, but the pinks and yellows gave me inspiration, especially when we decided to move my easel inside.

Michelle got a *gulp* job.  She wanted to be a Business Tycoon.  We had a couple of stores in our valley now, but surely not enough for a Tycoon.

And I wasn’t feeling well.  I wished my inspiration would come back.  I wanted my Michelle.

I was even losing my figure.  My inspirations wouldn’t like me any more.

Michelle assured me that it simply wasn’t true.  Fat or skinny, she’d still love me and so would the rest of my muses.  Well, she didn’t say that part, but I assumed she meant it.

This was Kobe.  As soon as I saw her, I knew I wanted her.

She was so sweet.  Maybe she could be a different kind of inspiration.

I tried so hard to adopt her but I was so tired.  Kobe meowed until I woke up to make sure I didn’t freeze, but then she left.

Kobe at least got me to paint something different than what I had been doing.

Michelle was not happy with me when I went out to pay the bills.  You’d think she would be proud that I remembered to pay them, but no, she said I was being irresponsible.  I have no idea what she means.  She’s just being mean.

Eagle Valley BaCC Winter 2: Willow

Rose and Talin Deppiesse were still very much in love, but had different ideas of what it meant to be self sufficient.

They were very happy that their eldest daughters, Iris Willow and Delphinia Deppiesse,  were more than willing to help take care of  Peony and Poppy.

Although neither of them wanted to be in the birthday pictures.

Peony had darker red hair and green eyes.

While Poppy had the lighter red hair and blue eyes.

The twins very quickly became best friends.

Delphinia had found true love.  Christy Toyonaga turned out to be much better for her than Jill had been for Iris.

It took no time at all before they took their relationship to the next level and a lullaby was heard.

Delphinia and Christy decided they wanted to get married before the baby was born and there was no real room at  the house.

Especially since they weren’t the only ones that had heard a lullaby.

It was still a sad feeling knowing that one of their children was heading off to a home of her own.  Perhaps she’d be able to start the dance studio she wanted and become a world famous ballerina.

Rose decided to give Talin all of the fish she had caught.  She didn’t agree with Talin’s decision, but understood it was what he wished to do.

Talin decided to open a fish stand he called Fish Rodeo.

At first, he tried to run it by himself.  He got it up to level one, but it was difficult.  He had to run the cash register, restock the fish, as long as he had some in his inventory, and sell the fish.  Even though he had a bronze sales badge, the other parts were all new.

He called home and asked for help.  Rose wouldn’t come.  She was still against running a business.  Iris, however, was very willing to come and help.  She saw it as good experience before she started running her own business.

At first, the lack of sunlight was hard on the plantsims.

They didn’t always realize the sunlight was lacking because of the big windows in the store.  Once they realized the problem, they bought sunlamps such as they had at home.

They received a best of the best award and both learned how to dazzle.

When they ran out of product, they went to the pond in the back of the store.

Occasionally, however, things just didn’t go their way.

When it got too bad, they went home and had a date.

Or two.  Shelby Barrett was more than willing to come over and help Iris out.

In fact, Shelby even came by the store a time or two when Iris really needed a pick me up.  Now that’s true love.

Talin and Iris spent many days at the store, until finally, with almost no fish left, they got their 125th star.  The two plantsims had dazzled their hearts out, and it had almost never gone wrong.

With the money they had made, they renovated the house.  Finally, it had siding, and looked like a cabin should look.

The bottom floor was no longer grass, but had actual flooring and wall paper.

There was now a second floor.  The plan was for the girls to decide which of the bedrooms they wanted and the small blue one would be for the new child when he was born.  After all, if he was conceived while Delphinia was still in the house and still pregnant, then there would be only one, right?

Peony was delighted with becoming a child, but Poppy suddenly realized that she didn’t look anything like her parents or older sister.

She decided that she was okay with that as long as her father continued to dance with her.

Peony loved to dance as well.

Since none of the adults needed to eat, it was often up to Poppy and Peony to take care of it for themselves.  Poppy really wanted to make an unburned muffin, but had yet to manage it.

The twins had gotten a new chess table in the free room upstairs, and everyone had traveled up to see it.  It was there that Rose suddenly went into labor.

Another little girl was born.  Amarylis had brown hair and blue eyes.

And was handed off to her father.

So that Aster, with her brown hair and green eyes could take up room in her mother’s arms.

Before she was handed off to Iris.

And red haired, gray eyed Sage, the first boy, was the final child born.

The twins weren’t quite sure what they thought about being upstaged by triplets.

I was happy about it though!

Eagle Valley BaCC Winter 2: Hawking

I am Dr. Carl Hawking.  I am currently holding my son Edwin Cameron, while my companion LaShawn Cameron is holding my second gift from the aliens, Galilei Hawking.

My eldest daughter Tesla was my first gift from the aliens.

It’s hard to believe it has been long enough since I was first gifted that Tesla has grown into a teenager.  And I still have not gotten a Nobel prize for my research.

She is much more mature than what I have observed in others her age.

LaShawn continued to work with the children on their skills.

Tesla helped her work on her newest project car.

Unfortunately, the money was a necessity since the government would no longer allow us to ignore the taxes.  $3,400 is far too much.  This observatory is non-profit after all.

Soon enough, LaShawn was showing that she was going to have yet another child.  I do not see why it is necessary.

I, after all, have a much better way to get it done.

Tesla rushed outside to get her first glimpse of the vehicle by which she came to be.  She did, for several days afterwards, have the strangest wish that I not be abducted again.  I do not understand that at all.

The landing is always a bit of a shock.  You would think they would take more care now that my body is in a more fragile condition.

I practiced my acceptance speech in front of a mirror.  Surely, with this third child, even if it was not from a new group of aliens, I would be nominated.

Tesla brought this *boy* home on the school bus.  She assures me she needs more human friends.  I do not approve.

Alien friends are the only type you truly need.

The next day Tesla brought yet another human teen back home with her.  This *Meadow*, at least did not fear where Tesla came from.

Although there were some things she did not need to be talking to my newly aged up daughter about.

And there were certainly things they did not need to be doing!  Tesla informs me that I am a “stick-in-the-mud” and that she truly likes Meadow.  My own feelings don’t seem to matter to her at all.  LaShawn informs me that it is simply part of being a teenager.  That she is testing things out, meeting new people.  I had assumed that an alien child would have more sense.

The girl even snuck back to the house to leave flowers, and then came to ring the doorbell at 1 o’clock in the morning.

If it were not for the fact that I had other things to worry about, my daughter and I would be having a very severe talk.

However, her help was needed too much to alienate her quite that way yet.

LaShawn was still doing the bulk of the caring for the children, even though she was heavily pregnant herself.

I was able to sit down with Tesla one night and try to talk about her growing up too soon, but she continued to assure me she knew what she was doing.  I informed her that all she needed to be happy was a telescope and she laughed at me!  She said that if I had wanted a clone of myself, I should have found another way to have children, she wanted to meet new people, to make money so that she no longer lived in an observatory and that hopefully Meadow and herself would get married and open up a business.  She wanted to become a magician!  An Entertainer!  Where did I go wrong?!

Edwin grew into a child while working on his logic skill.

He saw no need to leave the nursery at the time and quickly became best friends with Galilei.

His timing was perfect, since there was no reason to buy a new toddler blanket for the new child.

Marie, named for Marie Curie, famous physicist, had my brown hair and her mother’s brown eyes.  Truthfully, I believe her mother also has brown hair, but dyes it.

Edwin might have brought a friend home from school and the two of them managed to interfere in Tesla’s date.  I, of course, did not promise Edwin extra time with the telescope if he would do so.

Unfortunately, it did not do much good.

Gally was alone in her room when she grew into a child.  She seems shocked that she has a hand just like every one else.

Just hours later, she had a full blooded brother that I named Kepler.

Even Tesla is at least interested enough in her grades to make sure her homework is done.

As the children and I had dinner, I knew that there was a decision that had to be made.  LaShawn was already making noises about having another child while she was still young enough.  However, the house simply was not big enough.  If she had another child, I would not be able to have another alien child, and I knew I had not met every alien that was in the skies around us.  LaShawn only moved in so that Tesla had someone to look after her if I was taken away, but she is now old enough to be trusted to take care of the younger ones.

Eagle Valley BACC Winter 1: Hawking

This is a Build A City Challenge based, sort-of, off of the rule set at http://redmond-flats.weebly.com/original-challenge-rules.html .  I have, however, made some changes.  For instance, the Military section there… not happening.  Way too complicated for me.  Also, the first people to come into Eagle Valley are not there to start a town, so I am adding 4 CAS sims, one a season, before starting to play seriously.  And I apologize for the picture quality, I will work on it, I promise.

I am Dr. Carl Hawking.

I have moved out here to the middle of nowhere in Eagle Valley.  I needed to

get away from the lights of the city to build my observatory.

Here is the Hawking Observatory.  Those idiots at Simvard University would not give me any grants.  I will

show them!  I will show them all!  I will discover things never seen before!

They will never laugh at me again!

Who cares if I do not have much, I have what I need.  A toilet, a shower, a refrigerator,

and the hammock I have yet to set up.

What is this?  This area is supposed to be deserted!  And how dare he come right up

on my observatory!  Whoever gave him the right?!  That’s trespassing!

Do these people not understand what No Trespassing means?!  She should cry!

She’s heard of me.  I will always accept compliments.

But if people do not stop showing up, I am going to bomb them all!

Finally, it has gotten dark enough that I can do what I came here to do.   The Astrological Society has promised to pay me for any new things I discover in the galaxy.  At least someone trusts in my vision and understands what I am doing here.

The newspaper has not yet run an article about my observatory or my leaving Simvard University.  I would think it would be large enough news to be on the front page.  After all, losing someone with my brilliance was a great blow to the University.

I should not be surprised that the bills have found me.  I do not think there is anywhere the government can not find a person.

This cat was extremely uncooperative when I tried to pet him.  I was not aware that cats had such defenses.  Then again, I care not for animals upon this earth, only those off of it.

Perhaps winter was not the best time to move out into the country.

It got a little cold and I actually had to leave my telescope before morning came!

I was in such a hurry to get warmed up I did not even remove my cap before taking a shower.

I still did not have a mention in the paper, so took the time to write to the editor to complain.

There’s something behind me, isn’t there?

I thought I saw something in a nearby star cluster.

Perhaps I just need some more light.

They’re here!  I knew I wasn’t crazy!  They are the crazy ones for never believing me!

Wait!  Wait! I need my camera!  They’ll never believe me without my camera!

And winter is over.
